Berkshire Hathaway Energy Ranked No. 1 in Customer Satisfaction Study

For the third consecutive year, Berkshire Hathaway Energy earned the No. 1 spot in the U.S. in overall customer satisfaction thanks to large commercial and industrial customers of electric utilities.

According to TQS Research, Inc., Berkshire Hathaway Energy had the highest score among electric utility holding companies in the U.S., with 95.6% of customers surveyed saying they were very satisfied. The company achieved the first-place ranking due to strong performances by its subsidiaries NV Energy, Pacific Power, Rocky Mountain Power and MidAmerican Energy, which all placed among the top 6 of the 93 electric utility operating companies included in the survey.

TQS Research, Inc. is an Atlanta-based independent research firm that polls large commercial and industrial customers of electric utility holding companies for overall satisfaction. The annual TQS benchmark survey of 47 of the largest electric utility holding companies measures performance in areas such as energy efficiency, account management, reliability, price, handling customer inquiries and company image. More than 6,300 large commercial and industrial customers were interviewed, including energy users in the manufacturing industry along with some hospitals, universities and military bases.
