Berkshire Hathaway Energy has been named a Military Friendly® Employer by Victory Media, publisher of G.I. Jobs®, STEM JobsSM and Military Spouse.
This is the eighth consecutive year Berkshire Hathaway Energy has been recognized as a Military Friendly Employer. Ratings for the designation were determined through an extensive survey of more than 200 companies, which took into account programs and policies, such as the strength of military recruiting efforts, the percentage of new hires with prior military service, retention programs for veterans, and the promotion and advancement of veterans and military employees.
“Tomorrow, on Veteran’s Day, we want to thank, honor and remember all those who have served our country,” said Jodi Bacon, director, human resources for Berkshire Hathaway Energy. “We strive to honor and support current and former military members not only on Veteran’s Day but year-round by recognizing their qualifications and helping them transition their skills into a career that helps to ensure America's energy future.”
Approximately eight percent of Berkshire Hathaway Energy’s workforce is made up of veterans or active service members. Military experience transfers well into a variety of technical and leadership positions, including: engineering, plant supervisors, outage project managers, plant technical specialists, garage mechanics, safety supervisors and plant operators.
Veterans and military members are encouraged to visit Berkshire Hathaway Energy’s military career page to learn more and find related civilian positions.
